JOB TITLE: Security Officer
LOCATION: Shop Stop Shopping Centre , Clapham Junction – London SW11 1RU
SHIFT PATTERN: Flexible as per rota, shifts vary from 9 and 12 hours, 2 days off per week, 45 hours per week

PAY RATE: £12.45 per hour
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
This important role is the public face of the Security Team. A can-do and professional attitude is essential in this highly influential role. You also need to ensure exemplary standards of Security and Customer Service are always provided to the client and visitors to the site.
This role will require full flexibility and ability to cover day shifts at Shop Stop Shopping Centre , Clapham Junction – London.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Monitor CCTV systems and report any suspicious activities or incidents.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Control access points and verify identification of individuals entering the premises.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure security equipment is functioning properly.
- Patrol and monitor assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, theft, vandalism, or other illegal activities.
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Interact with all visitors within the site, delivering first class customer focused service.
- Assist tenant with safety procedures, shop lifting suspect, conflict management.
- Record/log all non-conformances and emergencies with the appropriate DOB or control room operatives.
- Deal efficiently and effectively with all emergencies ensuring the site team, client and emergency services are kept fully informed.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
- Be available to cover additional shift if requested to cover absence/annual leave.
- Be professional, pleasant, friendly, courteous, and helpful always whilst carry out duties to the highest standard

- Take ownership of all situations to ensure tasks are completed or escalated when necessary.

- To respect all staff and visitors within the site
- Front line SIA license required.
