My client is a trusted law firm, located in Reading Town Centre.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare legal documents, letters, and correspondence as directed by the Employment team.
  • Manage client files and ensure they are accurately maintained and up to date.
  • Organise and schedule meetings, appointments, and court dates for fee earners.
  • Draft and proofread documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
  • Handle client queries and maintain excellent client relationships.
  • Process and manage time recording and billing for fee earners.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and ensure effective communication with clients and third parties.
  • Support the team in various administrative tasks as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

The Successful Applicant

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within a law firm.
  • Previous experience in Employment Law is beneficial but not required.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
