The Medicine and Emergency Care Division are pleased to announce a Clinical Skills Facilitator post within the Practice Development Team. The posts will be for the Medical wards on the Tunbridge wells and Maidstone sites. We are looking to recruit Band 6 Clinical Skills Facilitator (CSF) to work alongside and report to the band 7 Practice Development Nurses from this Division.

These exciting positions would suit a candidate who has recent acute clinical experience who would like to gain experience and development in delivering supervision and education to clinical staff.

The Practice Development Team leads on a number of initiatives which focus on person centred and evidence-based care. Committed to the recruitment and retention of staff, they are dedicated to ensuring that teams work effectively together in innovative and forward thinking environments.

We are searching for candidates who have a natural drive for improvement, with the right personal attributes to support varying levels of learners within our clinical areas. These valued team members will work to provide support to a range of clinical staff. Areas of scope to include:
  • Supporting new starters, including overseas and return to practice nurses.
  • Clinical skills teaching
  • Recruitment and retention initiatives.
  • Professional development
  • Supporting learners within the clinical environment
  • Supporting quality improvement projects.

Once your pre-employment checks have been completed you will be contacted by Recruitment to arrange your start date which will be in line with one of our Corporate Inductions.

Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trust’s 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please emailmtw-tr.professionalstandards@nhs.netif this is problematic) and will involve travel to both Trust sites.

The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.

Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check atEnhanced Level. (Enhanced level now includes regulated checks against vulnerable adults and children)
