Managing Quantity Surveyor role:
You'll be responsible for commercial and cost management from project start to closeout, reporting to the Project Director.
Using your commercial expertise, you'll challenge existing agreements and collaborate closely with the Project Director and team to make a lasting positive impact.
Managing Quantity Surveyor responsibilities: Provide robust estimates aligned with scope, accounting for all risks and opportunities.
Manage the procurement process, ensuring strategies are agreed and tender procedures are correctly followed.Oversee subcontractors to ensure compliance with contracts, including communications, payments, compensation events, and programme submissions.
Maintain strong cost management with accurate live forecasting and tracking of actual costs against estimates.
Keep precise, reliable records so financial data for audits and cost assurance is readily available.
Continuously improve processes and procedures to standardize the commercial team's delivery.
Support the development of team members by sharing commercial knowledge and industry experience.
Managing Quantity Surveyor requirements: Educated to Degree, HNC level, or equivalent.
Membership of RICS, CIOB, or CICES.Proven experience managing multiple complex projects ranging from £100k to multi-million pounds, including team leadership, NEC contract administration, change management, procurement, risk and opportunity management, negotiation, estimating, and stakeholder engagement.
