Quality Manager - Food Manufacturing

Location: Maidstone, Kent

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Benefits

Are you a passionate Quality Manager ready to take full ownership of quality in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment? This is your chance to join a growing, forward-thinking FMCG business that puts quality at the heart of everything it does.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, loves getting stuck into continuous improvement, and can inspire teams to deliver to the highest standards every day. If you're driven by doing things better, not just ticking boxes, then this could be the role for you!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead the site’s quality agenda, ensuring compliance with all food safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Manage the QMS and drive continuous improvement across all areas of quality and compliance
  • Own the audit process, internal, external, customer, and third-party, with confidence and precision
  • Lead, coach and develop the QA team, building a strong culture of accountability and high standards
  • Work closely with production and technical teams to ensure best-in-class food safety and hygiene practices
  • Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints, carrying out root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Champion a right-first-time culture across site, embedding quality into daily operations
  • Maintain BRC and HACCP standards, ensuring the business remains audit-ready at all times
  • Bring energy, ideas, and a continuous improvement mindset to the table, every single day

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a Quality Manager, Quality Supervisor or senior QA role within a food manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, BRCGS, food safety, and UK/EU food legislation
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Detail-focused, highly organised, and comfortable making decisions in a fast-moving environment
  • Experienced in leading audits and dealing with customers and retailers
  • A real passion for food quality, safety, and doing things the right way
What’s in it for you?
  • A salary of £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
  • The opportunity to put your stamp on a high-impact role within a progressive and supportive business
  • Career development in a growing FMCG company that values innovation and continuous improvement
  • The chance to work with a passionate, collaborative team that genuinely cares about and champions quality

If you're ready to step into a business where quality isn’t just a department, it’s a way of thinking, then we want to hear from you.
