Location: Monmouthshire (Various school locations) Contract Type: Temporary/Flexible
Pay - £90 - £100 per day (dependent of experience)
Start Date: April 2024

Job Overview: As a Cover Supervisor working with our agency, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of secondary schools, stepping in when regular teachers are unavailable. You will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment, ensuring that pre-prepared work is delivered effectively to students.Your adaptability and flexibility will be put to the test as you navigate different school environments and age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher, following the provided guidelines and materials.
- Manage the classroom environment to promote a positive and conducive learning atmosphere.
- Engage with students and provide support during their learning activities.
- Ensure students remain on task and focused, maintaining a productive learning environment.
- Uphold the school's behaviour policy and manage any behavioural issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with school staff and leadership to provide feedback on the day's activities and student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behaviour, and any relevant information as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with secondary school students is advantageous but not essential.
- A degree in any subject is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and school staff effectively.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in different school environments and across various subjects and year groups.
- Patience and the ability to remain composed in challenging situations.
- A genuine passion for education and a desire to positively impact young learners.
- A commitment to representing our agency professionally and upholding the values of the schools we serve.
