London Northwest University Healthcare Trust has undertaken a review of its Organisational Development and Learning Service and is now seeking five Organisational Development (OD) Partners with significant expertise and experience of supporting organisational development, learning, and management and leadership development to implement change and deliver performance improvements and results.
The OD Partner will be responsible for a portfolio of corporate OD, learning, training and development projects and programmes. They will also work with divisional senior management teams to facilitate service change, improvement and transformation to ensure employee engagement and alignment with Trust strategic objectives.
The purpose of the role is to provide a proactive OD and learning service, from the design of diagnostic tools, identifying development needs and skills gaps, to the design and delivery of OD & learning interventions and programmes. Also, the evaluation of the impact of the interventions in meeting and supporting change and transformation to meet divisional and strategic objectives and to improve patient care.
In line with the Trust People Strategy and OD Plan and working closely with senior leaders and staff, the post holder will lead on all aspects of work associated with the modernisation, engagement, and motivation of the workforce. They will develop, lead and evaluate organisational development interventions using a range of OD approaches in areas such as staff engagement, equality and diversity, Leadership and management development, team working, reward and recognition and other OD initiatives.
In addition, they will embed excellent OD practice and standards and increase management capability and develop its workforce in accordance with the Trust’s strategic and equality objectives.
Reporting to the Head of OD, Learning and Leadership Development they will provide strategic and operational leadership to support the Trust’s strategic vision and its commitment to effective delivery across all aspects of the OD, learning, and leadership agenda.

- Work with divisions to establish their OD, learning and leadership development needs and skills gaps and design, develop and deliver bespoke organisational development initiatives and learning and training programmes to achieve performance excellence.
- Provide OD, learning and leadership development expertise into the implementation of the Trust’s People strategy and business plans, including APC, ICS and national and regional collaboration in process and policy development and decision-making to improve organisational health and performance and to embed the Trusts values and associated behaviours.
- Utilise, and where appropriate, develop a range of tools and methodologies which support OD, learning and leadership development to complement service improvement and embedding good practice across the Trust.
- Design, develop and deliver leadership and management training, including performance appraisals, action and blended learning and lead on positive action initiatives.
- Ensure that all organisational development, learning and leadership interventions are quality assured, meeting the diverse needs of staff and meet the requirements of all internal and external standards and practices.
- Monitor and identify variance in relation to people management KPI targets taking proactive and appropriate actions to support staff retention priorities.
Lead on developing evaluation plans and monitoring and evaluating local and Trust wide performance against agreed targets and national measures, relating to areas of organisational development, learning and leadership and supporting the implementation of actions to ensure achievement of all agreed objectives
