A Digital Health Records Team Leader (Band 4 on a Fixed Term Contract or Secondment for up to 12month )

As the Team Leader you will be responsible for supporting the Deputy Digital Health Records Manager in supporting the provision of a responsive, effective and efficient Digital Health Records service to the Trust making sure the team constantly meets agreed targets and service level agreements.
Support the management of the Digital Health Records team with supervision, support, undertaking appraisals and training. Ensuring adherence to NHS and ESHT policies.
The post holder will require excellent communication skills, have a very positive and flexible approach to work, be motivated and ready for the next challenge and also enjoy working as part of a busy team.
Knowledge of IFIT/Evolve and previous Health Records experience is desirable, however full in house training will be provided. This post will support with preparing the department for the introduction of a New electronic patient Record (EPR) system.

Main duties of the job
To support the Deputy Digital Health Records Manager in the day to day management of the Trust’s Digital Health Records department.
Promoting and ensuring all Digital Health Records are managed to the required data quality standards.
To be responsible for the daily staffing resources in order to provide the variety of tasks relating to paper and electronic patient Health Records for the Trust, which will include the pulling and preparation of patient Health Records to ensure that they are in the correct format for scanning.
The post holder will be responsible for managing the team of Digital Health Records Clerk’s and Digital Health Records Courier Drivers to ensure that the patient records are managed in line with Trust policy.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) to include English and Maths Grade C or above.
- Evidence of further professional development in health records management to NVQ4 equivalent, to include o Knowledge of Human Resources Policy and Procedures o Knowledge of health records management o Staff supervision and customer care.
- Additional relevant qualifications
Experience
Essential criteria- Previous experience in a health records working environment
- Experience of managing administration staff
- Managing conflict in the workplace
- Experience and understanding of a PAS system
- Experience and thorough working knowledge of iFIT.
- Working to tight deadlines and prioritising workload
- Customer care skills and experience in the NHS
- Managing rotas for groups of staff
- Experience of an Electronic Document Management (EDM) System
- Experience of dealing with PALS, Complaints and Datix incidents
- Experience of recruitment and selection of staff
Skills
Essential criteria- Good interpersonal skills, effective communication with colleagues at all levels within the organisation
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, ability to develop and motivate staff.
- Good leadership and motivation skills.
