Our Finance Team is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and detail-oriented Management Accountant who will take ownership of the core financial controls of the Company, such as payroll, accounts payable, and the month-end close. There will also be a variety of opportunities to contribute to FP&A activities, drive best practices, and process automation.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual who will play a key role in a small team. This role reports to the Finance Director and will work closely with all departments across the organisation.
Please note this role requires you to be in our London Liverpool Street office three days a week.
Role Responsibilities
You’ll play a pivotal role in our finance team, blending strong technical accounting with commercial insight. Your role will include:
- Lead the month end close process: journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Take full ownership of payroll operations, working with internal teams and external providers.
- Manage the Accounts Payable function, ensuring smooth and timely payments.
- Preparing and analyse monthly management accounts (P&L and balance sheet)
- Collaborate with the wider finance team, operational teams and People team to drive process improvements and financial insights.
- Support FP&A initiatives (budgeting/forecasting), ad hoc analysis and projects.
- Assist with audits and maintain best-in-class financial records and controls.
- Part-qualified (ACCA or CIMA) and actively studying. We will fund completion of this qualification.
- 2-3 years of experience in a finance role, ideally within a high growth business.
- Solid grounding in core accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- A natural self-starter who thrives under deadlines and can juggle multiple priorities.
- Problem-solving attitude: the ability to identify issues and propose solutions .
- Proficiency in excel and familiarity with accounting systems (Xero/Sage Intacct).
