About us:
You will be working with Hays Education, who are one of the largest recruitment agencies working within primary schools in Derbyshire & surrounding areas. We are currently recruiting experienced behaviour mentors / teaching assistants who are able to assist in the educational environment, encouraging both academic and educational growth in the students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in managing student behaviour and implementing behaviour intervention plans.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who require additional support.
- Assist in developing and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with behavioural needs.
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student development.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with behavioural needs.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Relevant qualifications in education or equivalent.
