Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant - Wandsworth
We are partnering with an OFSTED-rated 'Outstanding' school in Wandsworth, looking to appoint a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their reception class until the end of the academic year. In this role, you will primarily support a pupil with mild SEN, ensuring they stay engaged and receive the best possible educational experience.
As a 1:1 support, you will work closely with the pupil, the teaching staff, and the SEN department, fostering their learning and development. Your dedication, compassion, and interest in working with SEN students will be key in helping the pupil thrive.

Responsibilities:- Support pupils to make academic progress under the guidance of the teacher and Inclusion Leader.
- Set high expectations and promote self-esteem, independence, and confidence.
- Deliver group or 1:1 interventions to assist pupils with emotional or social barriers to learning.
- Establish constructive relationships with pupils, acting as a positive role model.
- Ensure the inclusion and acceptance of all students.
- A degree in Psychology (Upper Second Class Honours or above is preferred).
- Passion for working with SEN students and a desire to make a difference in their education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure and professional reference checks.
- Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our safeguarding policy.
- A CV that details your last 10 years of employment history, including any breaks in employment.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to attend a registration interview.
We work with a range of schools, offering teaching placements at primary, secondary, and college levels, as well as support staff positions.
