Diversion Team Manager - Fixed Term Contract
Following the successful progression of the previous post holder, an opportunity has arisen for a talented colleague to step into the Diversion Team Manager role in the Peterborough Youth Justice Service.
This is offered as a fixed term contract until 31.03.25. The role is responsible for the management of a team of Diversion and Serious Youth Violence Workers.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference to children and young people at risk of entering the criminal justice systems (CJS). These children may also be vulnerable to exploitation, contextual risks and have experienced trauma, which has impacted on their wellbeing and achievement.They may also be at risk of Anti-social Behaviour (ASB) or Serious Youth Violence (SYV). The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of detached youth work and effective practices that prevent children from offending.
The Diversion Team in embedded in the Youth Justice Service and is also part of the wider Targeted Youth Support Service which means close alignment with the Youth and Family Team and Missing and Exploitation Team.

It creates a shared language and culture, where we focus on building relationships which support good outcomes for children and young people.You will benefit from evidence-based approaches and feel supported by managers, with regular reflective practice sessions and a trauma informed approach. We have extensive support from senior management to ensure that we are able to deliver effective interventions that make a difference for young people and their families, in all aspects of their lives.
