Gardener/Grounds Maintenance Operative
We are looking for a new full time member to join our grounds maintenance team, someone who is willing to grow within a company, someone with confidence, and a good ability to converse with customers.
This role concentrates on communal grounds of blocks of flats, estates, car parks, and a few residential gardens.
The jobs vary in areas in Surrey and surrounding areas.
The candidate will be provided with a tipper truck, and full uniform.
The candidate will need to undergo a DBS check.
This role will will be replacing our current team member, and will be supervised for 3-6 weeks and then will be operating alone, until such time another team member is required.
Please only apply if you have the experience and driving license. There will be room to grow with the company. The contract is a full time 40hour a week contract, with holiday pay, pension contribution and available overtime during busy periods.
Tasks
MAIN ROLE TO INCLUDE:
Grass cutting
Hedge trimming
Maintaining shrub/flower beds
Dead heading, pruning
Strimming
Litter Picking
Pruning
Spraying (spray certificate preferred but not necessary)
Sweeping
Seasonal duties such as snow clearance and salt spreading
Requirements
This candidate must be over 25 years of age, with a clean, full UK driving license held for 3 years or more and experience in driving vans. The candidate must have good experience with gardening and grounds maintenance both commercial and domestic.The candidate must also have experience using lawnmowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers and general gardening equipment.
