Our client is a successful business that has seen rapid growth in the past 12 months. They are based in Winchester and require travel to their offices but also offer a hybrid model of working.
Job Description
As the Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Process and reconcile accounts payable/receivable and bank statements.
- Assist with journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closing.
- Help prepare financial reports and support audits.
- Assist with tax filings, VAT returns, and ensure compliance.
- Analyse financial data and maintain accurate records.
The Successful Applicant
To be successful for the Assistant Accountant position, you must:
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and communication skills.
- Studying towards an accountancy qualification (AAT,ACCA,CIMA)
