The Challenge:

We are an ever-growing tech scale-up looking for a delivery orientated and self-motivated Senior IT Manager to adopt and grow our existing IT function, which is still in its early stages.

You will enjoy keeping a hands-on approach with the operational and technical aspects of IT, whilst also being responsible for developing and implementing our IT Strategy, ensuring it aligns with the business goals.

You will enjoy developing others and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within your team and across IT at Vortexa.

You will be responsible for owning the data and cyber-security posture of the business, ensuring the 24/7 effectiveness, security, and legal compliance of all IT systems, hardware, software, and data. You will ensure data protection and systems security through appropriate monitoring and remediation in accordance with clear IT security policies.

Requirements

You will have:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of managing Google Workspace, Office365, EntraID and the Atlassian Suite
  • Extensive knowledge in device/endpoint management, primarily within Microsoft Intune (MacOS & Windows)
  • Experience with managing SaaS applications and building SaaS implementation strategies
  • Experience in managing and maintaining Meeting Rooms, specifically Microsoft Teams rooms and Logitech Rally
  • Confidence in managing office networks using SDN technology (TP-Link Omada is currently used)
  • Experience in developing and maintaining IT operational policies, procedures, and documentation in-line with best practice to ensure consistent and efficient service delivery
  • A passion for user experience, and an automation mindset. Consistently reducing manual processes, increasing benefit to your team and the business
  • Had previous experience overseeing the IT budget, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently, and financial goals are met
  • A delivery orientated and self-motivated mindset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adapt at understanding risks, issues and opportunities and developing clear solutions
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate well at all levels of the organisation
  • Experience owning the data and cyber-security posture of the business across all aspects of technology. Ensure the 24/7 effectiveness, security, and legal compliance of all IT systems, hardware, software, and data. Assure data protection and systems security through appropriate monitoring and remediation in accordance with clear IT security policies.
  • Experience working closely with the People team on onboarding and HRIS integrations

Awesome If You:

  • Have been involved with migrating from Google Workspace to Office365
  • Are familiar with Google Vault & Microsoft Purview
  • Have experience with introducing Mobile Device Management (personal devices) through Microsoft Intune.
  • Can script with Bash & Powershell, or have some confidence in coding
  • Are passionate about IT & Data Security, and have experience with phishing exercises and remediation
  • Are experienced in developing IT Strategy and delivery, including stakeholder management, using clear and well-informed communication methods
