About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Science to join our dynamic Science department. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a significant impact on our students' scientific learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3–KS4
- Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans that inspire a love of Science
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure high achievement
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department to continuously improve teaching practices and curriculum delivery
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and development
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and departmental events to enhance students' understanding of Science
Key Requirements:
- A qualified teacher with a strong knowledge of Science
- Ability to teach Science across the full range of secondary age groups )
- A passion for Science education and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- High expectations for student achievement and behavior

Lister Community School is a large 11-16 Academy at the heart of its community, and is part of the Newham Community Learning Trust.
