Head of Finance & Administration

• Annual Salary: up to £53,000
• Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
• Job Type: Full-time Perm

You will work closely with the CEO and other key stakeholders to drive strategic direction and operational excellence.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including invoicing, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and cash flow forecasts.
• Lead the annual budget-setting process in collaboration with department heads.
• Monitor cash flow, investments, and financial risks, and provide recommendations.
• Support the annual audit process and ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Manage the administrative functions of the organisation, ensuring optimal operation of all office systems and resources.
• Oversee financial elements of contracts and manage funding allocations and reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in financial management and administration within a similar role.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work closely with senior management and external stakeholders.
• Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and statutory requirements.
• Proficient in managing audits, payroll processing, and VAT returns.
• Ability to develop strategic financial plans that align with organisational goals.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
