To obtain clear and thorough relevant histories from patients including medications, smoking, alcohol and sexual history. To examine patients and obtain appropriate clinical specimens according to clinic protocols. To manage a range of symptomatic and asymptomatic sexual health presentations according to local policy To initiate Cryotherapy according to Cryotherapy protocol To recognise signs and symptoms of complex and unstable health problems requiring medical review and refer on to appropriate health professionals To treat patients within the confines of patient group directions (PGDs) and arrange prescriptions of treatments not covered by PGD and safely administer and supply these.
To perform microscopy according to protocol (relevance dependent on site of work) To carry out partner notification To promote sexual health and wellbeing through advice and information To discuss HIV transmission, including U=U To offer advice on HIV medication and side effects.To discuss and provide appropriate vaccination including sign posting to primary care.
