We are looking to appoint a community support worker to provide 1:1, personal centered support, for our service users who have diverse complex needs.

All applicants must be over 18 years old and hold a full UK driving license with business insurance, and access to a roadworthy vehicle. Please note that at this time we are not able to offer Certificate of Sponsorships. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

The role involves working alongside a large team of support workers and families to provide around the clock 1:1 care for our service users. You will work in 7-to-8-hour shifts. Some clients may have mental health needs and therefore require someone very resilient, flexible and willing to participate in various activities, including taking the out on visits to keep the individual well stimulated and focused during their care calls.

The hours for this role will include Evenings and WEEKEND shifts and occasional night-sits with additional hours available covering holidays or sickness.

This position would suit applicants who have worked in care provision or who have transferable skills gained from caring for a family member or others

Roles and responsibilities include:

Providing support 1:1 within the home and ensuring the Service Users remain an active part of their local community.

Supporting and assisting with all personal care (bathing, dressing/undressing, pad changing). Providing companionship whilst observing and reporting any changes in the health of the service Users . Shopping, preparing food and assisting with mealtimes.

Administering and recording medication needs. At times accompanying and transporting the Service User to medical appointments, social events and facilitating community events. Supporting with hobbies and social activities. Must be able to carry out the role whilst adhering to safeguarding procedures.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Essential: Minimum of 1yrs caregiving experience.

Must hold a full UK driving license and be over 18yrs, with business insurance.
Be kind, caring, honest, trustworthy and enthusiastic about care work.

Be flexible to cover sickness and holidays of other staff.

Clean Enhanced DBS (one can be obtained for the right candidates)

A clear understanding of safeguarding and its implications.

Desirable: Previous experience of working with in the care sector would be advantageous.

Job roles can be made into full time positions or part time depending on applicant
