You will be responsible for the correct operation of the Solicitors Accounts Rules, supervise the wider finance team, and provide regular financial reports.Part Time Finance Manager Requirements:Process accurate daily reconciliationsProduce monthly financial reportsAuthorise payments from company bank accountsProduce and ensure SRA month end reports are signed offMonitor any bad debts and put a plan in placePreparation for the accountants annual auditMaintain accurate nominal ledgersManage petty cash and expensesWrite and bank cheques when requiredSupervise the legal cashiers in the finance teamProvide holiday cover within the finance team when necessaryAssist with general accounting queriesThis Part Time Finance Manager role is a brand new position and would suit someone who is looking to step back, semi-retire or is just looking to work around school hours for the moment.
This role would suit someone who has worked as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Management Accountant, Accounts Manager or Legal Cashier. If you have worked in a solicitors or legal environment and have an understanding of SARs (Solicitors Accounts Rules) and the SRA (Solicitors Regulations Authority) this would be preferred.Requirements:Previous finance management experienceAAT/ACCA/CIMA qualifications or equivalent, would also consider qualified by experienceAn understanding of SRA and SARs preferredPrevious supervisory experience within a finance teamExcellent communication skillsIT proficiencyA good head for numbers and attention to detailThis is a part time role working around 19 hours per week.
This is fully office based and you will be required in the office Monday to Friday however these hours can be worked within school hours with ideally one full day working 9am -5pm.
