Production Process Operative

£28,724 PER ANNUM (INC SHIFT ALLOWANCE)

• Working to the manufacturing schedule as set out by the Team Leader, managing the process so as to minimise unnecessary loss of product and hence maximise yields
• Perform process control checks during processing and any process control testing required, maintaining accurate records and taking action to rectify any anomalies or uncertainties immediately
• Ensure that product specification sheets are followed and that accurate and legible information is recorded on monitoring forms and plant logs as required
• Resolving process, equipment, quality and Health & Safety problems as quickly as possible to maintain production continuity in a planned and safe manner
• Ensure that all equipment and tools are kept clean and in good working order and operating to specified levels by performing required equipment checks.
• Disposal of any waste generated in the appropriate manner and samples taken
• Ensuring that all the necessary batch samples are taken and made available to quality control or technical personnel
• Responsible for correct product labelling and that products are packed and despatched in a quality/timely manner
• Assisting the Production Team Leader in ensuring that routine stock control, cycle counting and stocktaking is undertaken accurately

• Experienced in manual activities in a manufacturing environment
• Familiar with Computer systems with good keyboard familiarity
• Good communication skills and ability to cope with workload under pressure
• A Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence would be preferable
• Good awareness of Health and Safety practices
