Senior Estates Officer, GMS Band D2

• Ensure that all engineering services meet national standards and healthcare-specific regulations.
• Drive compliance with safety protocols, including those outlined in HTMs, HBNs and other relevant guidance.
• Lead on delivering robust systems for monitoring and maintaining critical infrastructure.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support operational excellence.
• Be responsible for the effective use of resources, ensuring financial efficiency and sustainability.

This role will require participation in an on-call rota to provide 24/7 support for emergency maintenance.

• Frequent travel between sites (shuttle bus available) to oversee maintenance operations.
• Exposure to varying site conditions, including noise, damp environments and confined spaces.
• Participation in out-of-hours working as part of an on-call rota to support emergency maintenance breakdowns.
• Regular physical activity, including working at heights or in confined spaces.
• Adherence to infection control protocols when working in clinical areas, ensuring safety for staff and patients Communication and Working Relationships: Internal:
• Close working relationships with Site and Departmental Managers, Ward Staff, Fire Officers, and other internal stakeholders to support the smooth operation of engineering services across the healthcare environments.
• Collaborate with senior management to ensure the effective delivery of services that meet compliance standards.External:
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure efficient operations and compliance with maintenance contracts.
• Build strong relationships with external regulatory bodies and agencies to ensure the estate meets all necessary statutory requirements and healthcare regulations.
