Housekeeper - Cleaner
We're looking for positive, caring and energetic people to join a passionate team in residential homes in County Durham.
If you can demonstrate the ability to work hard and give your best at all times, maintain a positive outlook and empathetic manner in all situations, then you could be exactly what they're looking for. Experience of working in care and relevant qualifications are not required as full training will be provided.
Please note: In this position you'll be required to work every other weekend. Full details of shift patterns will be discussed at interview.
The Role:
As a Housekeeper you will be instrumental in making the resident’s home a place they are happy to live in, ensuring the home is comfortable, welcoming, cosy and kept to a high standard of cleanliness. This includes taking a lead role in supporting service users in the upkeep and cleaning of their rooms, and the homes in general.
This is a dual role, combining Housekeeper responsibilities as well as Support Worker responsibilities to enable the involvement and inclusion of service users to develop independent living skills.
The Housekeeper is responsible on a day-to-day basis for promoting infection control & cleanliness in the home.This is a great role for someone nurturing who wants to support vulnerable adults to feel safe, happy and content.
The Candidate:
To be considered for the Support Worker role you won’t need experience as full training will be provided. It is more important we find candidates with the right attitude and the right values. You will be nurturing, full of energy and willing to get involved in activities such as gardening, sports and other activities undertaken by the service users.
In addition, it's essential that you possess the following:- A good team working attitude
- A good standard of literacy and numeracy
- Good basic IT skills
- A flexible attitude when it comes to working hours
- A thorough approach to cleaning and housework
- Ability to prepare and cook meals for groups of people

The Package:Starting rate: £12 per hour, full time permanent positions available, 20 or 25 hours a week, including:
