Pay Rate: £13.30 for dayshifts £14.30 for nightshifts

PURPOSE OF JOB
  • To supervise and work with the cleaning team
  • To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout AO Arena Manchester especially pre-event, during event and

post event. (Working shifts as approved by the Arena Cleaning Manager)

RESPONSIBLE FOR the Cleaning Team

EMPLOYMENT DUTIES JOB DESCRIPTION To work with and supervise the team of cleaners ensuring a high level of cleanliness and
hygiene throughout the Arena, dark days, pre-show, during events and post event and maintain the effective running of the team.
  1. To be aware of the conditions associated with the cleaning of the Arena during events relating to the Arena’s site users and to
work to the appropriate Health and Safety rules and processes.
  1. To use the appropriate equipment, materials, tools, chemicals and machinery to ensure the job is done effectively.
  2. Cleaning duties daily will include cleaning, washing mops, sweeping, scrubbing, sanitising, shampooing, vacuum cleaning,
polishing and dusting of designated areas as required by the client. Duties on event days also include being pro active and
leading the team on the Concourse and all other relevant areas pre event, during event and post event. (shift work)
  1. Specialist cleaning where requested by the client. Check with Arena Cleaning Manager
  2. To report any damage / defects to equipment or building (lightbulbs etc) the appropriate person.
  3. To liaise with site staff, supervisors and line managers as required.
  4. KPI’s Weekly check
  5. Work with the Arena Operations Manager to ensure correct staff allocation.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES • To undertake any other duties appropriate as requested by the PSS Contract Cleaning Manager/Operations
Managers and the client. PSS reserves the right to vary the duties and responsibilities of its employees within the general
conditions of employment and conditions and related matters. This it must be appreciated that the duties and responsibilities

outlined above may be altered as the changing needs of the client may require.
