Join us as a Strategic Finance Manager
  • We’ll look to you to provide commercial and financial insights and analysis to help influence key business decision
  • You’ll be reviewing and providing input for plans, forecasts and stress test scenarios and providing business leads with key themes and analysis

What you'll do Job Description

As a Strategic Finance Manager, you’ll be providing business insights and market knowledge to assist the leadership team across one of the key central departments/ functions of the bank to make key cost and investments specific decisions in conjunction with the franchise.

You’ll also be:

  • Analysing financial regulatory change impact on products and services
  • Providing investment tracking and forecasting reviews
  • Using the data and analytics thinking required to solve strategic problems using the latest tools and techniques
  • Collaborating with our Finance centre of excellence to provide specific financial plans, forecasts, stress testing and customer, market or segment analysis
  • Reviewing and challenging the use of resources presented in investment decisions and business cases

The skills you’ll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll need good stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate, influence and resolve conflict. Along with planning and organisation capabilities, you’ll need the ability to deal with ambiguity, uncertainty and risk and work in a flexible environment.

You’ll also need:

  • A CIMA, ACCA or CFA equivalent qualification, or qualified by equivalent experience with a strong record of application in a business environment
  • Strong data analysis and modelling skills
  • The ability to communicate complex financial information in a concise and non-technical manner
  • The ability to create and review plans, forecasts, models and stress scenarios
  • Strategic awareness and the ability to apply business knowledge, expertise and challenge to support the business
  • Good finance functional knowledge, accounting knowledge and market segment knowledge
