We are looking for a Senior Fleet Operations Manager who is responsible for the safety, compliance and availability of the Fleet in their respective region in the UK. The candidate will need to determine the strategy of the team and understand where to simplify or extend solutions for the best outcome.This person will implement use of best practices and plays a central role within the larger fleet organization.
Key functions for the role include:- Be the regional lead for health and safety of fleet. They will ensure vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with local regulations by performing audits and collating regional feedback through partnership with Fleet Compliance and Safety teams.
- Be the Single Threaded Leader for product and program launching across the UK regions. The Senior Fleet Operations Manager will launch fleet operations initiatives and fleet-related programs. To be successful in this role, the Senior Fleet Operations Manager is required to be a domain fleet expert, having deep knowledge of the conditions of local markets. The Senior Fleet Operations Manager will support UK country expansion launches by building mechanisms to help manage the fleet.
- Strategically influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, internal and external, in order to solve complex operational needs. The Senior Fleet Operations Manager is responsible for defining a program with clear tenets and deliverables, and align stakeholders to achieve long-term priorities. They will be required to demonstrate the ability to negotiate and influence, showing backbone while dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage volatile vehicle demand across UK and make trade-offs between short-term and long-term risks. React to potential long-term risks with vehicle demand/supply and support strategic changes to mitigate them in ambiguous, vehicle-constrained markets. This will require technical expertise to balance trade-offs between cost, quality, and speed.
- This role will be based in one of our Delivery Stations, and requires ability to travel 20-30% of time across the assigned region
- Cooperation with the stations and other business functions to identify and consolidate vehicle demand especially in regards to peaks and ramps.
- Consistently innovate and implement best practices in Fleet Operations and Safety across EU.
- Cooperation with multiple internal and external stakeholders in communication of local business needs and understanding of last mile vehicle strategies.
- Monitoring vehicle pool and pipeline to ensure sufficient capacity is available and escalate on time to avoid shortfalls.
- Ensure that delivery orders are executed on time in full and in line with highest quality standards

- Experience working independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- A masters or advanced degree.
- Fleet Management experience.
- Background in mobility services e.g. Car Lease/Automotive company.
