The role involves a mix of consulting and operating, with the practice equipped to provide up-to-date care for pets. Facilities include in-house laboratory testing, digital and dental x-rays, and state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment. Flexible working arrangements are available, with the option of a full-time schedule of four days per week or a part-time schedule of two to three days per week.The hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, with a requirement to work 1 in 3 Saturdays.
You will become part of a supportive and close-knit team comprising a Head Nurse, three RVNs, a PCA, and a receptionist. Together, they foster a positive and collaborative working environment. As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures, maintaining the highest professional and regulatory standards, mentoring and developing your team, and optimising their skills for effective clinic performance.
The ideal candidate will be RCVS-registered with previous practice experience. You should demonstrate strong clinical leadership skills and a track record of supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures. An understanding of how these contribute to clinic efficiency and success is essential.
