As Assistant Manager of GSAL Owls, you'll play a pivotal role in creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children aged 3-11. You'll take the lead in managing our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision, guiding a talented team to deliver engaging and creative play opportunities.This role also provides you with the exciting chance to deputise for the Owls Manager, enhancing your leadership and management experience.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and organise engaging daily activities tailored for EYFS children.
- Collaborate on planning innovative play programmes and manage childcare resources effectively.
- Support staff through guidance and supervision, ensuring high standards of care.
- Ensure children's wellbeing by adhering to EYFS guidelines, managing individual needs sensitively, and fostering a positive environment.
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community.
- Provide additional daytime support to the early years team as a teaching assistant where cover may be required.
Who We're Looking For:
- Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or 3 or above in early years/childcare.
- Experience in early years education or similar childcare environments, ideally with some management or supervisory experience (not mandatory).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and colleagues.
- Paediatric first aid and food hygiene certifications are desirable (training provided if necessary).
- A creative, adaptable, and proactive team player with a genuine passion for childcare.
