CBRE Hotels is one of the largest hotels teams in Europe and comprises approximately 130 people based in 20 offices across EMEA. We provide a full service offer to clients and investors, in country and cross border, with business lines covering, Investment Advisory, Investment Sales, Debt & Structured Finance, Operator Selection, and Valuation Services.To support our cross-border integration we have a tightly connected European central team. This team is tasked with supporting pan-European projects, assisting our in-country teams with strategic projects when helpful to secure the best outcome for our clients, and acting as a port of call for our global colleagues for in-bound and outbound capital markets and advisory activity relating to the European hotels sector.
CBRE EUROPEAN OPERATOR SELECTION TEAM
CBRE’s European Operator Selection team assists hospitality clients in securing lease, management, and franchise agreements for various assets and portfolios across 20+ countries in collaboration with CBRE’s local country offices. We advise a diverse range of clients, including developers, institutional investors, private equity funds, HNWIs and family offices, focusing on maximizing returns and ensuring sustainable cash flows.With a strong network and insights into hotel operations, branding and concepts, we leverage our relationships to enhance negotiation power, aligning with our clients' strategies for optimal results.
THE ROLEJob Title Graduate Analyst/Analyst, Hotels Central European Operator Selection Team
Reports To Deputy Head of Operator Selection Europe, Hotels
Location Henrietta House, London
To support the Hotels Central Team in key client management and operator selection mandates.
Key Responsibilities- To support the central operator selection team on winning new business and executing existing business.
- To gather and interpret appropriate research data, financial reports, third-party studies, and other due diligence materials in accordance with project requirements.
- To track intelligence via the maintenance of various internal databases, proactively identifying and communicating opportunities for cross-company collaboration.
- To draft well-written and persuasive sections of proposal documents and marketing materials.
- During an operator selection process, to organise and facilitate the distribution of specific due diligence materials to potential operators and arrange meetings answering questions confidently and knowledgably.
- To collate and analyse responses to RFPs.
- To maintain appropriate contact with clients through the preparation of regular reporting documents during marketing efforts.
- To support Central Op selection team and country teams in preparation of key client research, presentations, and meeting preparations.
- To conduct field visits of properties and submarkets.
- Bachelor’s degree from leading hospitality university with previous work/internship experience in hotel real estate consulting or Bachelor’s degree in real estate with minimum 1 year experience in hotel advisory services/operator selection.
- Requires strong analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to comprehend, analyse, and interpret complex financial information. Knowledge of hotel financial statements, as well as real estate valuation terms and concepts, strongly preferred.
- Keen interest and passion for the hospitality industry including understanding of key trends and branding/operator/concept landscape.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively present information in written and verbal form to clients, both internal and external. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to clients. Appropriate language certification: English min. C2 and fluent in at least one other European Language
- The ability to maintain and update industry knowledge for use in project-related work and professionally represent the firm as international experts in hospitality.
- Well-developed IT skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
- Strong organization skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
- Should be able to interact with demanding professionals in a high-energy environment.
- Process-driven, proactive and high sense of responsibility.
- Open-minded, adaptable and experienced in interacting with various European cultures
- Extremely professional, approachable with a mature demeanour
