Summary

We’re looking for a Buying Administration Assistant to join our team at the National Trust on a fixed-term basis. You’ll be facilitating the effective operation of the buying team by understanding products and trends to provide efficient and flexible support.

This is a fixed term contract due to end when the postholder returns to the role. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12-months.

You'll be part of a supportive team who take great pride in the retail service they provide.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office 2 days a week. However, there is flexibility on where you’re based at other times. You’ll be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week.

What you'll be doing

As a Buying Administrative Assistant, you’ll provide administrative support for the team, using your excellent organisational skills. There’ll also be opportunities help the team with different projects.

You’ll manage the administration of the product life cycle effectively to ensure products meet approved standards and are processed promptly, playing a key role in helping the team create beautiful retail lines and generate income streams that support the places we care for.

  • An understanding of the UK retail market, including trends
  • Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Attention to detail to ensure product details are correct
  • Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to manage your workload
