More detail about the role: The Health Inequalities Programme Support Officer (Eastern) will work with colleagues and stakeholders based in the community to oversee and manage projects that address health inequity in the Eastern Devon area.

Project support will include developing project plans, coordinating projects to ensure they are delivered, connecting with local people, organisational partners and colleagues to engage, join up or transform how services are delivered. The post holder will contribute to the effective development of the One Eastern Devon Local Care Partnership, and particularly the development of One Communities/Health & Wellbeing Alliances in Eastern Devon working with a wide range of partners.

Based on the One Communities approach pioneered in northern Devon, the post holder will work with a variety of key stakeholders from the VCSE community and institutional partners to help develop or establish alliances of key stakeholders at neighbourhood/market town level to articulate the views and insights of people and communities and work with them to support the capacities, capabilities and strengths of local civic action to tackle key health and wellbeing challenges.
The postholder will also work on projects on social health; on population health management; on Supporting the VCSE community in Eastern Devon; on long term conditions support. The postholder will have the ability to develop and sustain trust-based relationships, work effectively in partnerships and lead from behind.
You will have excellent co-ordination, facilitation, and listening skills and the ability to operate in a complex and changing environment. The post-holder will be expected to work autonomously and undertake a wide variety of tasks including communicating with stakeholders, assisting with planning the delivery of current and new projects, organising meetings, preparing agendas and minutes and project management system, and contributing to online collaboration portals.
Working Pattern: 22.5 hours per week, flexible working pattern Interview Date: To be confirmed Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a 5.5% pay award implemented from October 2024.

If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 2024 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2023-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2023/24 | NHS Employers).
