We are currently recruiting a Programmes Worker to work within HMP Bristol. Our ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.

Where: HMP Bristol, Bishopston, BristolFull Time Hours: 37.5h per week
Full Time Salary Range: £27,449.52 - £31,529.41 (pro rata for part time hours)
About The Role:
To deliver group-based interventions as well as providing 1:1 support for hard to engageservice users, specifically those not group-work ready.
To be creative and innovative so that the post best meets the needs of the service user, promoting access into treatment, and encouraging engagement with underrepresented
communities.
To provide a confidential, safe and secure learning environment for service users to
include where possible a therapeutic environment.
Assess suitability for groups related to risk and special needs, working closely withprison partners to schedule attendance.
About You:
Experience of working within a prison/criminal justice settingSensitivity in working with complex and diverse cultural issues
This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check at an
enhanced level.
Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within
a related field.
Excellent team working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a highly cooperative
approach to supporting colleagues in delivering service objectives.
Ability to communicate complex information to individuals and groups in a way thatis easily understood.
An understanding of and commitment to safeguarding best practice.
