Job purpose, tasks and responsibilities:
As our Research Analyst, you'll be responsible for the upkeep of our market data offerings, utilising your research skills to find best-in-class data for our clients and using an analytical and detail-focused mindset to categorise, harmonise and maintain our growing datasets.
You'll also be assisting with Quality Control and maintaining the high quality of output that our clients require, so an eye for detail is a must!
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and updating Axco’s market data offerings.
- Finding the best global data sources for the team and conducting independent research to discover new data sources.
- Using analytical skills to categorise, harmonise, and maintain growing datasets.
- Processing & manipulating numerical data (e.g., insurance types sold by region) to fit the Axco platform.
- Producing & maintaining global insurance data for Axco products and bespoke client deliverables.
- Assisting with client queries and collaborating with consultant writers.
- Curating data to support teams across the business.
- Contributing to the optimisation of team processes.
- Collaborating with third-party vendors to ensure quality deliverables.
- Assisting with quality control to ensure data meets high standards.

To be successful in this role, you must have:
- An undergraduate degree in any subject.
- Previous experience conducting market data research and analysis.
- Excellent reading comprehension and first-class web research skills to identify the best sources of data.
- Experience working with datasets in Excel, including basic formulas, filtering, and pivot tables.
- Strong attention to detail.
To be successful in this role, it would be great if you have:
- Experience with more advanced data tools like Power BI or SQL.
- Experience gained in a similar role within the insurance or banking industry.
