Job overview
MyTime Reigate are a day care provider, for Adults who have a learning disability with epilepsy, sensory impairment, complex physical and/or social needs.
We are looking to recruit into our team, a highly motivated, enthusiastic support worker who can work flexibly within our day service provision.
Our service offers a broad spectrum of tailored day opportunities through centre-based and community activities, helping people to improve their social skills whilst supporting to participate in new experiences.
We remain passionate about people, delivering person-centred care through extensive therapeutic activity-based support.
People using our service find our service homely, welcoming, and stimulating. Our staffing team are dedicated to ensuring that all people’s needs are cared for with compassion and respect. Main duties of the job
To communicate effectively and appropriately with people who use the service, colleagues and other professionals maintaining professional relationships between all people.
To attend to care needs identified within the care plan ensuring respect, privacy, and dignity always.
Involve people in the development of their own care and support.
To always maintain the safety of people, alerting senior staff to any identified risks whether perceived or actual.
To work with individuals in a respectful and person-centred way
To have a sound awareness of Safeguarding issues being clear about their respective roles and responsibilities to report, respond to and share information in relation to Safeguarding Adults, Safeguarding Children, Domestic Abuse and Public Protection.
To contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of the teams in which he/she works.
To undertake any other duties at the request of the line manager which are commensurate with the role, including project work, internal job rotation and absence cover.
To contribute to a health and safety working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and Trust policies, contributing to the prevention and control of health care associated infection by adhering to Trust policies and guidelines.
To actively be involved in Personal development Planning process via Supervision and Appraisal.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- To have achieved a Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care
- To have achieved or willing to undertake CARE Certificate
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria- To work with people in a respectful and person Centred way
- Experience of working, supporting adults who have a learning disability, complex needs.
SKILLS
Essential criteria- Must have good spoken and written English
- IT Must have basic IT skills, including the ability to use a computer, mouse, access various soft wear and other basic equipment.
ABILITIES
Essential criteria- To be able to work as part of a team, as well as using own initiative.
- To undertake stat and mand training, as well as other identified training development areas.
- To travel to various locations in relation to working role i.e.: training and appointments etc.
- To be able to drive, holding a FULL UK driving licence with NO penalty points.
- To have some knowledge around Safeguarding and raising concerns.
