Senior Radiographer/Senior Clinical Technologist
Job overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Radiographer/Clinical Technologist to join our Nuclear Imaging Department at a Band 6 level. This post provides a fantastic opportunity to develop expertise in diagnostic nuclear imaging, working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and patient-focused services.
You may be required to work across multiple sites within the Black Country ICB. Flexible working arrangements may be available by mutual agreement.
We are open to applications for individuals who require training to reach the requirements of the post under Annex 21.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will perform a range of diagnostic nuclear imaging procedures, requiring advanced technical and clinical knowledge. You will play a key role in training junior staff, quality assurance, and service improvement initiatives.The post requires autonomous decision-making within the framework of professional guidelines and the ability to collaborate effectively with clinical users across the Trust and external stakeholders.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Radiographer degree, or science plus nuclear medicine training, or equivalent
- Current HCPC or RCT Registration or ability to become registered
- Postgraduate Nuclear Medicine Diploma
Experience
Essential criteria- Previous experience or willingness to train in Nuclear Imaging department, using gamma cameras and associated equipment, and handling radioactive materials
- Knowledge of Nuclear Imaging scanning protocols
- Ability to give or willingness to learn to give IV injections and carry out IV cannulation
- Knowledge of Nuclear Imaging processing protocols
