Head of Enterprise Architecture and Strategy

Overview:

PURPOSE & IMPACT:

This role reports to the Group Head of Technology Services, with accountability to lead Nomad Foods’ Enterprise architecture across IT, OT in all markets, and to define future-state architecture, steer major transformation (e.g., ERP/SAP, MES, CRM, data platform), and ensure technology decisions align with business strategy across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Procurement, Sales, Marketing, Finance and HR.

An experienced leader who is accountable for results and able to work collaboratively across functions to drive the adoption and development of the Nomad Foods Enterprise Architecture. The individual will have the skills and experience to challenge and influence at all levels in the business, driving collaboration and effective communication.

Always operating with integrity this individual is a true business partner with a proactive and solutions orientated approach to risks and opportunities.

The successful candidate is able to cut through complex information bringing a robust approach to identify and communicate well thought out objective recommendations, decisions and messages.

Responsibilities:

BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP

Maintains strong partnership with technology business partners, business SMEs and leaders. Develops trusted and objective relationships that provide opportunity to maximise project delivery and value creation to meet and exceed Nomad Foods objectives.

Maintains and reports Enterprise Architecture compliance, explaining value of Architecture and promoting Principles across all business functions and operating units.

GOVERNANCE AND PROCESS

Owns the overall governance and management of Nomad Foods Enterprise Architecture. Defines and tracks Nomad Foods architecture aggregating summaries across portfolios to highlight and report top issues and risks for management attention. Responsible to manage the Value of Nomad Foods Enterprise technology stack across functions, ensuring a consistently high standard of reporting.

Provides governance and oversight to any changes to the Architecture.

COMPLIANCE

Implementation and adherence to architectural policies and procedures: Accountable for the control and governance of changes to the Enterprise, and associated applications, technology and data architecture.

CAPABILITIES & PROCESSES

Define and implement improvements to Enterprise Architecture. Owns the ongoing maintenance and development of internal project artefacts and resources relating to the Architecture function, and ensures compliance to Architecture standards across all business functions.

Defines tools, capabilities and resources to further develop the maturity of Enterprise Architecture. Leads a small team of Central Application/solution Architects ensuring skills and capabilities in place to deliver against the project portfolio.

LEADS ACROSS THE ORGANISATION

Builds cross-functional partnerships. collaborate and partner on priorities that contribute to the wider Nomad Foods agenda. Builds trust and creates the conditions to enable direct and cross functional teams to deliver strong performance and work together effectively.

Builds diverse, effective teams reflective of the markets we operate in.

Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge of how a best practice Enterprise Architecture function should operate
  • Strong leadership characteristics & stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience of being a solution architect and having worked across multiple Tech disciplines, including SAP
  • Prior experience in a complex organisation, working across a variety of geographies or business units
  • Ability to standardise tools, processes, data, infrastructure, Softaware Dev standards
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Great negotiation skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to work and team effectively with cross functional teams
  • Track record of customer focus, based on openness, trust, and delivering on promises
