If you have an eye for detail and enjoy creating a safe and clean environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society, then join the team at St Marys Hospital as a Bank Housekeeper.

You will be an integral part of the staff bank at a service for people with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI), progressive neurological conditions, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Deaf Mental Health problems where you will be responsible for cleaning all areas of the service, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms and visitors area.

Working closely with the maintenance team you’ll ensure all areas of the service are spotless and be able to confidently deliver high standard cleaning services.

As staff bank, enjoy the flexibility to choose shifts that align with your schedule at £13.50 per hour including a 12.07% pay uplift and enjoy weekly pay.

As a Housekeeper you will be:

  • Maintaining required security standards of the hospital by following relevant policies and procedures as defined by the Hospital.
  • To be an active member of the team with a range of responsibility over the day-to-day operation.
  • Maintaining excellent telephone etiquette and ability to meet and greeting visitors in a professional manner.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with all staff, visitors and service users.
  • Helping create a positive culture.
  • Undertaking any other tasks requested that are appropriate for the post.
  • Attending mandatory and statutory training on an annual basis as required by Elysium Healthcare.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Have previous experience of cleaning within a similar environment
  • Enjoy cleaning and get satisfaction from a job well done

You will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team to ensure those in care are supported to make decisions and access the community. Skills are taught and support given to promote recovery and develop confidence in order for them to live a more independent life.
