Our client, a Local Authority based in the Home Counties, is seeking an Employment Lawyer to join their legal services team on a locum basis, pending permanent recruitment.
This role can be offered on a fully remote working basis, with attendance required only for an IT induction on the first day.
Responsibilities of the Employment Lawyer:
The successful Employment Lawyer will be expected to carry out a range of key responsibilities, which will include;- Providing advice on employment law matters to the Council, Fire and Rescue Service and schools
- Working with HR in order to provide practical support and advice on a wide range of matters including disciplinary action, grievances, discrimination, whistleblowing, recruitment matters, restructures, TUPE and exit strategies
- Managing Employment Tribunal cases on behalf of the Council and liaising with ACAS in relation to conciliation
Experience required for the Employment Lawyer:
Our client is seeking a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with previous experience in employment law. Previous experience gained within Local Government would be advantageous.
