Salary: £24,064 - £26,468 (pro rata for part-time and sessional)Hours: 30 per week, 40 weeks sessional
Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 0815-1530 (45 mins unpaid break) Friday 0815-1230 (15 mins unpaid break)
Sciennes Primary is actively looking to recruit an organised and methodical Primary School Administrator to work collaboratively as a member of our established School Office team, and work alongside our existing School Administrators. In addition to ownership of administrative duties, the role also requires regular interaction with colleagues, pupils and parents both over the phone and in person, so strong interaction skills are required.
The successful candidate will:
- Manage and provide the delivery of a wide range of administrative, clerical,
secretarial and general office support services.
Sciennes Primary School is one of the largest primary schools in Scotland, with over 600 pupils. The school enjoys extensive links with the cluster schools and the local, wider community. The Senior Leadership Team includes a Head Teacher, 3 Deputy Head Teachers, Principal Teacher and Business Manager.
In addition to a full complement of classrooms, the school is well provided with rooms for other specialist purposes including a swimming pool. There are currently separate rooms for music, science, support services such as Support for Learning and English as an Additional Language, a hall which is used for Physical Education and Assemblies, and a library.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
