Job overview
The Chief Medical Officer’s Directorate is seeking to appoint a Simulation Technician to join our Medical Education Team. The post holder will work closely with the medical education academy to support the provision of simulated medical education at the Trust and will play a crucial role in running simulated training sessions for our doctors.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will play a crucial role in providing day to day technical and administrative support for both Clinical Skills and Simulation Training.
You will co-ordinate and schedule simulation sessions, maintain supplies, oversee the administration aspects of simulation training and maintain records related to simulation activities.
Training will be provided in all aspects of the role.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The role will be a primary contact for users of the Simulation Suite so it is important the post holder creates a professional and welcoming environment and provides a friendly and supportive service. Candidates should be able to demonstrate they are a confident communicator and able to effectively liaise and build good working relations with a wide range of people.
Candidates will undertake a variety of administrative duties to support the delivery of simulation and medical education and should therefore should be proficient in Microsoft office applications.

Experience
Essential criteria- Experience in working with the general public face to face.
- Experience of managing own workload
Qualifications
Essential criteria- Mathematics and English Language at grade C/level 4 or above
- 3 additional GCSEs at Grade C/level 4 or above
Skills
Essential criteria- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to use own judgement to resolve problems and queries competently, including those of a sensitive and confidential nature
- Able to work without supervision and manage own workload
Communication
Essential criteria- Able to converse effectively with people at all levels in person, in writing and on the telephone
