Partner Solutions Architect - Oracle, EMEA APO Specialist Team

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking for a world-class EMEA Partner Solution Architect (PSA) to grow the Oracle Database@AWS business through our strategic partnerships, particularly with Oracle workloads and through Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), System Integrators (SIs) and Global System Integrator (GSI) partners in Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Partner organization , as part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

In this role, you will own the technical engagement with strategic partners. You will have deep technical expertise in Oracle architecture and cloud computing, as well as customer-facing skills at all levels of a partner and customer organization.

You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.

Key job responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have experience driving successful partnership initiatives at scale, as well as a background in sales or business development with a proven track record of executing go-to-market motions. You should possess strong strategic thinking abilities, data-driven decision-making skills, and working knowledge of database and analytics services.

  • Partner Trusted Advisor: Collaborate with AWS account, training, and support teams to help partners and customers learn and effectively use AWS relational database services for their data management, analytics, and business intelligence needs.
  • Drive Partner Success: Work across AWS teams to build and migrate partner solutions that leverage AWS relational database offerings
  • Business Partners: Serve as a key member of the business development and partner management team, helping to ensure partner and customer success in building and migrating applications and services on the AWS platform using Oracle Database on AWS service.
  • Product Collaboration: Stay closely connected to the AWS Oracle Database product teams and work closely with partners to launch new database capabilities as services are updated and enhanced.
  • Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership on using relational databases for various use cases through external publications, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public presentations at AWS events and industry conferences.
  • Community Engagement: Capture and share best practices, participate in, and contribute to the worldwide AWS technical community of Solutions Architects, Consultants, and Trainers focused on relational databases.
  • Partner Evangelism: Evangelize partner value propositions internally across AWS and externally with customers, highlighting how they leverage AWS relational database services.
  • Partner Enablement: Drive partner solutions, APN program attainment, and continuous enablement through training, certifications, and go-to-market strategies to differentiate and expand their relational database practice.
  • Architectural Guidance: Provide the architectural guidance and recommendations necessary to promote successful engagements with software and solutions partners leveraging AWS relational database services worldwide.
  • Open to travel within the city or province and up to 25% across EMEA if required for customer meetings.
A day in the life
  • Execute technical strategy to grow the EMEA Oracle Database@AWS business through consulting and technology partners in EMEA
  • Support partners across practice development, solution creation, enablement, and leveraging AWS programs
  • Drive partner revenue through pipeline management, opportunity registration, and business reviews to exceed annual goals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, solutions architecture, product management, and other teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
  • Serve as a subject matter expert advocating for AWS partner capabilities internally and externally

About the team (optional but highly recommended)- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
  • Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking
  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
  • Solid experience with technology solutions development and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing experience
  • Professional experience in Oracle Applications and/or Oracle Exadata.
  • Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, etc. experience.- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing Oracle workloads to the cloud.
  • AWS Certifications, e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional.
  • Experience with other database technologies such as PostgreSQL.
