Warehouse Operative
We’re looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse/Stores Operative to join our busy team within our manufacturing site.
Our manufacturing sites in Barnstaple and Plymouth produce and assemble the timber components of high-quality wood products, including bespoke bed frames for luxury bed manufacturers in Devon which are sold worldwide.
You’ll be responsible for the management of stock and stock records, to included booking in and out of items, ensuring stock rotation is managed, and the shop floor is kept stocked with components, highlighting when components are running low using the current Kanban system.
You will also assist in performing manufacturing tasks and any other duty as required.
Our ideal candidate will have experience of working in a commercial environment, e.g., manufacturing, stores/warehouse. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be highly organised.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure paperwork is kept up to date, including the delivery notes and dispatch documents.Manage the collation of bit part orders for customers, ensuring all components are present and accounted for.
Assist with the stacking and booking out of beds and safe loading of the delivery vehicle.
Support and assist with all audits including ISO9001, FSC and company audits.
Skills and Experience
Essential
Trained to the company standard Health and Safety in the workplace.Commitment to participate in agreed training programs and to gaining appropriate qualifications.
Ability to work as a team player and on own initiative as and when required.
Willingness to work flexibly during busy periods.
Highly organised and can use own initiative, but also knows when to defer to line manager.
Desirable
Full driving licenceForklift truck licence
Experience of delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards.
Experience of working in an ISO 9001 and chain of custody standards FSC
