General Catering Assistant
Salary: £15,974.92 per annum
We are seeking to appoint a general catering assistant to work within a team of 30 staff in the catering department. Working in a modern well-equipped environment this position assists the delivery of lunches to over 1400 people on a daily basis during term time and regular school functions throughout the term.
Key Responsibilities- Using dishwashers, cleaning, restocking of cutlery and crockery
- Assisting with function work (setting up, serving and clearing)
- Basic food preparation
- Serving pupils
- The ability to work within a team in a fast-paced, pressurised kitchen environment whilst maintaining high standards
- Good communication skills with an approachable manner - contact with pupils and staff is on a daily basis and maintaining open communication is essential
- Experience of catering is desirable, but full training can be provided
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene would be an advantage but full training can be offered
