Job description The Pharmacist Network are a clinical led organisation which supports GP practices with the delivery of Pharmacist and Pharmacy Tech services. We are currently seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to work onsite in general practice within Barnet PCN. This is for a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy technician who wants to make an impact within practices and the local community.
The role will be split across two different practices within close vicinity of each other and will be supported by The Pharmacist Network Senior leadership team, and will work alongside the established practice pharmacy team. What your role will be: To undertake medicine reconciliations of patient record/prescribing in line with the practice protocols.
Update patient records, support medicine reviews and synchronization for groups of patients i.e., care homes and help patients to get the best from their medicines by switching the medications to agreed and approved protocols. You will carry out prescribing audits and medicines safety alerts.
In recognition of the important role pharmacy technicians can play in general practice we are seeking a professional who can support patients to get the most from their medicines, contributing to Structures Medication Reviews (SMRs) in collaboration with the clinical pharmacist and for their skills and knowledge around acute and repeat prescribing processes and improving patients safe use of medicines to contribute toward the management of patients on site.
The Skills To join our team, you will have a minimum of 6 months experience working in a clinical setting within general practice as a registered pharmacy technician. You will have a relevant degree/qualification to show you are registered and you will be a highly focused and motivated individual.
