Checkpoint Firewall Engineer
Location: Halifax, 2 days onsite per week
Remuneration: £600 - £700 per day
Contract Details: Contract (6 months) + Extensions
Responsibilities:Are you ready to step into a pivotal role as a Firewall Engineer? We are looking for a skilled professional to support firewall programmes within the dynamic financial sector. Here's what you'll be diving into:
- Analyse the existing firewall estate to understand current setups and requirements.
- Collaborate closely with a Network Management partner to deliver robust solutions.
- Design and implement strategies for firewall hardware migration, ensuring a seamless transition between technologies.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail to match solutions with agreed requirements.
- Utilise your expertise to enhance security measures and optimise network configurations.
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- Proven experience in Firewall Design and implementation, particularly with Check Point.
- Strong skills in Networking configuration and maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco products and network analysis techniques.
- Command line proficiency with Cisco ASA configuration (essential).
- Familiarity with Check Point R81 (essential) and R82 (preferred).
- Practical experience with Fortinet products is a bonus!
