Location: Leeds, with occasional travel to Derby
About the Role:As a Planner, you will be at the heart of our construction projects, creating and managing detailed project schedules, optimizing resources, and ensuring timely delivery. Your role will focus on streamlining planning processes, enhancing team coordination, and driving project efficiency.
Through meticulous scheduling and strategic collaboration, you’ll help pave the way for successful project outcomes and long-term infrastructure achievements.
What you'll be doing- Ensuring that the programme content is functionally compliant with the planning
- Tender: Develop and agree by collaboration a logical sequence and methodology
adopted for the delivery of the works.
- Produce and document planning deliverables, including programs, planning
- Contract: At the contract stage, the Planner is responsible for producing,
procedures under the guidance of the Planning/Project Lead.
- Displaying and evaluating the project critical path and advise the project team of
- Producing and maintaining project baselines and execute the change control
- Resource Management: Skilled in managing labour, equipment, and materials
- Contract Management: Manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, monitoring performance, and resolving contract-related issues.
- Data Analysis: Aid the planning team to produce project data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, identify deviations, and make data-driven decisions for project improvement
- Competent in project management tools and software like Excel, MS Project,
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction, including construction methodology,
planning.
- Knowledge in project scheduling, including the ability to create, manage, and
- Understanding of various forms of tender and contract documents, and
- Understanding of project management methodologies.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in successfully planning and managing projects from
- Previous experience in managing relationships with project stakeholders,
- Experience in construction or other sectors with transferable skills that align with
the demands of the construction field.
