The Higher & Adult Education Department offers a range of higher and adult education courses for post 19 students. An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and efficient Evening Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to join our team. The role requires a confident, friendly, professional and helpful person who will be able to work using their own initiative providing a ‘front of house’ support service to students, visitors and staff at the main college reception/HE student services reception.
The role involves dealing with enquiries, answering phone calls, supporting learners with enrolment forms, taking course payments, directing students to classrooms and providing information as required. Experience of working in general administration with the public would be advantageous.The successful candidate will have effective administrative, IT and organisational skills and an understanding of what makes excellent customer care.
The core hours are a Wednesday and Thursday evening from 4:00pm - 9:00pm, term time only with flexibility to include occasional additional hours to support events, e.g. enrolment and information events outside of these times. The post holder reports to the Senior Admissions Officer, working as part of the Higher & Adult Education team.
