Building Surveyor - Damp and Mould - Local Authority

• Hourly Rate: £18.53 PAYE or up to a maximum of £27 via umbrella
• Location: Kirklees District
• Job Type: Interim

We are seeking a Building Surveyor to join our Damp, Mould, and Condensation team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in identifying and resolving issues related to damp, mould, and condensation within domestic dwellings. The successful candidate will be travelling throughout the Kirklees district to inspect tenanted properties.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Travel across the Kirklees district to visit tenanted properties following reports of damp, mould, or condensation.
• Identify the root causes of damp, mould, and condensation issues within domestic dwellings.
• Recognise and report the necessary repairs needed to resolve these issues.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of findings and actions taken using Microsoft Suite applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Building Surveyor, specifically with damp, mould, and condensation issues.
• Experience working in a local authority or housing association setting.
• Strong IT skills, competent with Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to work independently and travel as required throughout the district.
• Excellent observational and reporting skills.
