Job overview
We are seeking to recruit a ST LAS Lower to join our forward thinking service. The successful appointee will join an expanding team of colleagues providing services across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and Community settings around the area.

Main duties of the job
Ø The department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology aims to provide a complete programme of care to both emergency and elective patients, with triage and redirection of those patients more properly treated elsewhere.
Ø The post holder will be required to participate in a 1:10 Full Shift System which includes one week of nights per 10 week cycle with built in prospective cover. On Call duties take place in Prince Charles Hospital only and this is a 2B banding.Duties will comprise the assessment, monitoring, treatment and follow up of emergency patients under the supervision of the Consultant. This will include Labour Ward cover.
Ø The post holder will rotate to cover the planned leave commitments of the junior grade structure. In the event of unplanned emergency/sickness, the post holder may be requested to cover the duties of his/her colleagues.
Ø The post holder may be required to undertake daytime clinical commitments on any site across the sites.

Essential criteria- Full GMC registration with licence to practice.
- Adequate experience as 1st on call in approved Obstetrics and Gynaecology posts.
- MB BS or Equivalent
- Evidence of innovative and progressive approach to practice.

Essential criteria- Experience in initial assessment and management of different obstetrics and gynaecology conditions and emergencies.
- Other interest e.g. early pregnancy assessment
