Manager/Senior Manager - Water Sector

Your role:
We are looking for an experienced leader who will help identify, shape and spearhead strategies addressing critical challenges in the UK water sector during the PR24/AMP8 period. This will involve tackling pressing issues such as climate change adaptation, infrastructure resilience, leakage reduction and digital transformation..
Understanding the sector to enable us to support our clients through their toughest challenges is at the heart of how we help our clients succeed, and will be a key requirement of your role with us.
In this role you will play a key part in building, and owning, senior client relationships with our clients and developing a detailed understanding of their needs so as to shape, secure, guide and deliver leading edge Water Sector programmes for them. In doing so you will help our clients:
- Identify, map and deliver a step change in operational performance in areas across their business, such as Capital Delivery, Leakage, Field force management, Flooding response and Water and Waste Operations.
- Navigate through complex change roadmaps to deliver real, well-orchestrated and sustainable change
- Balance business change with technology change in a way that delivers benefits for them, their stakeholders and their customers
- Through working within our matrix organization, bring the capabilities of Capgemini UK Group, as well as Global capabilities, to our UK client base
As well as a delivery role, you will be leading the development of new business, utilising a combination of our broader pre-existing relationships, company relationships and your own network, to enable our growth ambitions.
Your role will also provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the broader business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:
- Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events
- Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
- Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
Your profile:
As an experienced Senior Hire, ideally you will:
- Sector experience – Experience working within a UK water company or as part of a Consulting organization focused on the UK Water Sector. An understanding of the current trends and issues in the Sector and broader ecosystem, their impact on organisations and society including the anticipated shifts in AMP8 capability requirements
- Excellent presentation and articulation skills - outstanding written, oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex problems, quantitative analysis and solutions in a way that can be quickly understood both at operational and Senior Leadership level
- Business relationship building – demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships at senior and executive level within UK Water Organisations
- Commercial Acumen – experienced in managing project finances, as well as constructing client proposals
- Learning and Coaching – demonstrated desire to continue developing not only your own skills, but also those around you, both for clients and Capgemini Invent colleagues
